Toronto, ON – (Aug. 5, 2025) – League1 Canada today announced leading Alberta sports broadcaster Sandra Prusina and OneSoccer’s Mackenzie Bawell will bring fans closer to the Women’s Inter-Provincial Championship action than ever between as they team up to deliver cover of the highly-anticipated battle for the 2025 national title in Sherwood Park, Alta. this week.
All four matches, to be played between Friday, Aug. 8 and Sunday, Aug. 10, will be broadcast on OneSoccer.
Prusina, a native of Calgary and veteran sports broadcaster with nearly 20 years of experience, will bring her well-known voice to play-by-play duties for all four matches. Prusina has provided commentary at some of the biggest sporting events in the world, including the Olympics and FIFA Women’s World Cup. She currently serves as the play-by-play voice of the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers, becoming the first woman to hold that role, and brings deep expertise in soccer to her commentary.
Joining her on the ground will be Mackenzie Barwell, a dynamic sports personality who has quickly become a familiar face to Canadian soccer fans. A sideline reporter and content creator for OneSoccer, Barwell brings fans inside the storylines with engaging interviews and live matchday insights. Her energy and connection with players and coaches make her a standout voice in the next generation of Canadian sports broadcasting.
2025 League1 Canada Women’s Inter-Provincial Championship semifinal action will begin on Friday evening, with Altitude FC, the League1 BC champion, facing the League1 Ontario champion at 7:30 p.m. ET / 5:30 p.m. MT. That match will be followed by a showdown between the League1 Alberta champion and the Ligue1 Québec champion at 10:30 p.m. ET / 8:30 p.m. MT.
The Third Place Match will take place on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. MT, followed by the Championship Final at 5 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. MT.
Tickets to the 2025 League1 Canada Women’s Inter-Provincial Championship can be purchased at Emerald Hills Stadium in Sherwood Park, Alta. on Friday, Aug. 8 and Sunday, Aug. 10 for $15.
Friday’s semifinals will be available on OneSoccer’s main channel, as well as on FuboTV and TELUS Optik TV (channel 980) in Western Canada. Sunday’s matches will stream on OneSoccer’s secondary channel and can be viewed via onesoccer.ca or the OneSoccer app on iOS or Android.
